Over 50 years’ experience designing and building robust forklift loading trucks. Since the 1960s we have been producing lift trucks designed to last and built to perform in some of the toughest and harshest environments in the world.

A counterbalanced lift truck is a forklift that counterbalances the weight of the load with a weight, usually cast iron or the battery, in the rear of the truck. It is considered a multi-purpose utility truck that can be used on docks or in aisles at least 10-12 feet wide.
Counterbalance trucks are one of the most common and iconic forklift trucks available. Used mainly in larger warehouses and outdoor areas, this forklift is often mistaken for being easy to operate. However, untrained forklift operators are one of the leading causes of easily avoidable accidents in the warehouse.

The RTITB Counterbalance Lift Truck (often referred to as a forklift) operator training course will give you the skills to operate the lift truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection, and recall and explain the causes of lift truck and load instability.
